THE ZEST OF SUMMER

The days are daze and sultry

Blasts of hot wind all around

The ball of hot red copper

Lights up with dazzling hot rays

Set ablaze miles beyond

And upgrade the mercury fifty plus.

The splashing water trippling hot

sweating creatures looking idle

The birds are panting on the trees

Serene camels marching ahead the torrid

Searching for a shadow shelter

Sands rise up whirling turbid

Twisting around the desert square

Hopeful for a whiff of cool breeze

Spring up after the night's stiffness

The zest of summer throttle everywhere.
